Airshow, best known for its in-flight moving-map display system, has teamed with in-seat power supply system manufacturer Primex Aerospace to develop "infotainment" systems for single-aisle aircraft. The alliance will combine Airshow's recently launched FlightView IFE system for narrowbody aircraft with Primex's EmPower system, which provides in-flight laptop connectivity. Airshow will supply video components, air-to-ground communications, its moving map display and content, while Primex will integrate digital audio, intranet, internet and e-mail capabilities. The system will be available in the second half of next year. Airshow's systems are operating with more than 130 airlines.
