German general aviation aircraft engine manufacturer Thielert is building a third facility to allow it to expand its research, development and testing activities for jet fuel piston aircraft engines, as well as increasing aircraft engine production. Thielert is set to invest up to €6.4 million over three years at the site at Altenburg-Nobitz airport, which is expected to be up and running, with the first phase of construction completed, by the end of the year.
