Singapore's Tiger Airways is considering starting services to more cities in China and Taiwan.
"We are currently evaluating the potential to commence services to a number of additional destinations including cities such as Hangzhou, Shantou, Taipei and Xiamen," says the low-cost carrier's CEO Tony Davis.
The airline hopes to finalise its plans in the early part of this year, he adds.
Tiger operates to Guangzhou, Haikou, Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen.
"With increasing numbers of international travellers and the great support that we have enjoyed from passengers, authorities and airports, we are looking to both increase frequencies on current routes and add new destinations," says Davis.
The airline will take delivery of its 19th Airbus A320 family aircraft later this month, he adds.
The total number of passengers carried by Tiger grew 53% to 428,000 in January from a year ago, says the airline.
Its passenger load factor rose 12 percentage points to 86% from 74%, it adds.
Tiger, which debuted on the Singapore stock exchange on 22 January, will release its third fiscal quarter financial results on 25 February, says the carrier,
