Global distribution system provider Travelport has signed an agreement with British Airways that allows travel agents to book pre-paid seats on the carrier through their existing GDS channel for the first time.
Previously, this facility was only available via the British Airways website. Travelport-connected subscribers can use the new facility after downloading Travelport Options Integrator software, which links in to BA's pre-paid seating content.
The system is due to become operational in the UK this month and will be rolled out to other regions later this year.
