Gen James L Jones, Commandant of the Marine Corps, found himself in the dark as gremlins switched off the lights on more than one occasion during his tricky address on the V-22 military tiltrotor programme.
But like a true veteran his retort was instant. "All I can say is I'm far more convinced by our technology."
