Investigators probing the military Tupolev Tu-154 crash in the Black Sea are to analyse video recordings of the accident captured as the aircraft departed Sochi.
The Russian federal Investigative Committee says it has interviewed witnesses to the accident, including an individual who filmed the take-off and subsequent descent of the aircraft into the sea.
It adds that the video recording also includes the aircraft’s landing at Sochi airport, its taxiing to the parking position, and passenger activity.
The investigative work includes developing a detailed map of the area and the flightpath in order to locate additional potential witnesses.
Analysis is also under way into a fuel sample extracted from the tank used to refuel the Tu-154 following its flight from the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow, says the Investigative Committee.
