Turkmenistan Airlines has taken delivery of the first of three Boeing 717s it has on order, which will be operated on regional routes from the airline's base in Askhabad. The Turkmenistan national carrier operates a mixed fleet of Russian and Western equipment, including three Boeing 737-300s and four 757-200s, as well as four Ilyushin Il-76s, one Tupolev Tu-154 and two Yakovlev Yak-42s. The two remaining 717s are due for delivery by the end of the year.
