UK design and interiors specialist FactoryDesign says it has begun collaborating with Cambridge, England-based Marshall Aerospace to carry out aircraft interiors programmes faster.
The arrangement will see FactoryDesign combine its research, concept and design refinement skills with Marshall Aerospace's engineering and certification experience.
"This approach will benefit customers as programmes can be carried out faster and without the constraints of typical time frames, and an integrated team (made up of FactoryDesign and Marshall Aerospace) will ensure seamless continuity from design concept to solution and STC," says FactoryDesign.
"The combination of our ability to challenge convention and innovate with Marshall's comprehensive engineering capabilities, will provide customers with a new approach to meet the constant need to improve their products and cabin interiors," adds the firm.
Specific terms of the arrangement between FactoryDesign and Marshall Aerospace have not been disclosed.
FactoryDesign's customers include British Airways, Thompson Solutions and Jet2.com.
