UK Export Finance and Export Development Canada have backed the financing of two Bombardier CSeries deliveries to Korean Air.
The deal marks the first time that UKEF has supported the sale of CSeries aircraft, says the British export credit agency.
UKEF, Bombardier and EDC are planning to extend the programme. Further support is likely to follow for future CSeries deliveries to Korean scheduled this year, says UKEF.
Bombardier manufactures CSeries wings and parts of the fuselage in Belfast.
UKEF provided reinsurance support to EDC for the UK elements of the aircraft.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Korean has two CS300s in service and a further eight on order, all with delivery dates in 2018.
