UK business aircraft charter and management company Bookajet has expanded its fleet of long-range business jets following the delivery this month of a Gulfstream IV.
The 13-seat twin joins Bookajet's 35-strong aircraft line-up, which includes a Bombardier Global Express XRS, a Dassault Falcon 7X and a G550. A Global 6000 will be added to the fleet next year and placed on Bookajet's UK air operator's certificate.
"We are pleased to say we are starting to come out of what has been a very flat and challenging time in Europe," says Bookajet director Jonathan Clements. "Charter demand is also picking up - from both the leisure and business markets."
Bookajet was established in 2003 and acquired its UK AOC three years later. The Farnborough-headquartered company now employs almost 50 staff, including flight and cabin crew at various bases across Europe including Italy, France, Russia and the Netherlands.
The company is also the sole commercial operator of the entire UK fleet of Beechcraft Premier 1 light jets.
The four aircraft have been working well in a niche market, says Clements. "We have seen some consolidation amongst the smaller players which has provided some interesting opportunities," he adds.
