An ultra-small video display has been launched by UK company Skyquest to present enhanced vision system (EVS) information. Aimed at emergency medical supply, border patrol, police and search and rescue operations in limited visual conditions, the 100mm (4in) display is the smallest offered by Skyquest. The company says it would typically be linked to sensor equipment provided by US company Max-Viz. Skyquest also sees a major emerging potential market for very light jets. Its first UK customer for the new display is a “VIP helicopter operator”. Meanwhile, Aerosonic has teamed with Mid-Continent Instruments to offer a standby instrument suite for general aviation aircraft, combining Mid-Continent’s 51mm artificial horizon with Aerosonic’s 51mm digital altimeter and airspeed indicators.
