New Bangladeshi carrier US-Bangla Airlines is planning to launch services in April 2014 using two Bombardier Q400 turboprops.
The airline, which is owned by the conglomerate US-Bangla group, is planning to start on domestic services, and will later expand onto regional international routes. It also has longer term ambitions of operating longhaul services using widebody aircraft.
US-Bangla acquired its two Q400s from defunct German regional airline Augsburg Airways, and will become the first operator of the type in Bangladesh.
