US aerospace insulation manufacturer Johns Manville has opened a sales office in Shanghai to service a growing customer base in Asia.
The company (Stand D152) also chose Asian Aerospace '98 to announce it has set up a factory in Changzou, China, and to show off two new products.
Microlite AA Premium is a new lightweight glass-fibre fuselage insulation material designed to offer low heat transfer and increase noise reduction and water repellancy.
It is also 20% lighter than its sister product, Microlite AA Standard.
Aero-mide flexible polymide foam, used as fuselage insulation and in insulated ducts in commercial aircraft, is non-combustible and also offers a high level of noise reduction and low heat transfer.
