Gen John Jumper is to take over as commander of USAF Air Combat Command. His present role as head of USAF Europe and commander NATO Air Forces Central Europe goes to Lt Gen Gregory Martin, deputy secretary of acquisition for the air force, who is promoted to general and is succeeded by Maj Gen Stephen Plummer.
