Bell Helicopter has appointed Al Vetere as the company's chief financial officer (CFO).
"I am confident Al will build on the solid foundation already set and take our finance team to the next level," says John Garrison, Bell Helicopter's president and chief executive officer.
Vetere has led some of Bell's largest contract negotiations with US government, the company says. For example, Vetere helped Bell Helicopter secure two multi-year contracts on the Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey programme.
Bell Helicopter's outgoing CFO, Tony Viotto, will retire at the end of 2013, the company says. Until he retires Viotto will remain with the company as executive vice president for integrated business planning and sales.
