Vietnam Airlines has signed an agreement with Airbus for the manufacturer to provide flight hour services (FHS) on its fleet of Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The state-owned carrier is the first operator to pick the Airbus service, in a deal which will run for 12 years. This includes providing line replaceable units and guaranteed spare parts availability, says Airbus.
“Flight Hour Services for our A350 fleet are an extremely important facilitator for our A350’s entry into service,” says the airline's president and chief executive Pham Ngoc Minh. “Airbus has demonstrated a consistently high quality service on our fleet. Therefore when it came to the A350, we are building on Airbus’ commitment and ability to ensure the highest performance of our A350 operations from day one.”
Vietnam Airlines received its first A350-900 aircraft on 30 June, and has orders for 13 additional jets.
