Ericsson Saab Avionics has won a contract from Sweden's Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to supply colour cockpit displays for two Saab JA 37 Viggen squadrons of the Swedish air force. The new display replaces an existing monochrome unit as part of the Viggen Mod D upgrade programme. Deliveries will begin in April next year and are due to be completed by March 2001.The upgraded RAM is being developed to counter non-radar equipped anti-ship missiles.
