Virgin Blue's initial public offer raised A$660 million ($488 million) capital in Australia's biggest public float of 2003. Shares were 10 times oversubscribed, prompting the Virgin Group to sell down its stake to 25.1%. Based on prices after the start of trading, Virgin Blue now has a market capitalisation of A$2.5 billion.
