Visitors to the Dubai 2000 chalet can get a sneak preview of the new purpose-built Dubai Airport Exhibition Centre, thanks to a virtual reality animation commissioned for Le Bourget.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Department of Civil Aviation, says the animation is designed to take exhibitors and visitors "as close as possible to the real thing" prior to the Dubai air show, from 14-18 November, 1999.
Construction of the new centre, home of the Dubai air show, is racing toward completion in September.
Show organisers report 90% of the show space is already booked.
