Williams International has received US certification for its FJ44-1P turbofan, which powers the Cessna Citation CJ1+ and has been selected for the Eviation EV-20. Compared with the 1,900lb-thrust (8.5kN) FJ44-1, the -1P produces up to 2,100lb thrust, and has 12% more altitude thrust, 5% lower specific fuel consumption, reduced operating temperatures, lower idle thrust and a 3,500h initial time between overhauls. The -1P has a new fan and dual-channel full authority digital engine control.
