++ Florida-based AeroCorp has won heavy maintenance work for 30 Boeing 727s from two airlines. American Trans Air has agreed a 20 aircraft "nose-to-tail" deal worth $15 million covering maintenance of its 727s for 1997 and 1998. Sun Country has signed a similar agreement, worth more than $5 million, covering maintenance of ten 727s this year. ++ AAR will provide JT8D engine parts to GE Celma, a GE Engine Services subsidiary in Brazil under a Ìve-year agreement. The US firm will provide repair parts to support GE Celma's engine-maintenance activities. AAR is providing similar services to the GE Engine Service unit in Wales. ++ Pacifica Aerospace, an affiliate of California-based Aviation Equipment, has received US Federal Aviation Administration repair-station certification for the overhaul and repair of composite control surfaces, engine nacelles, thrust reversers, inlet and fan cowls, exhaust plugs, nozzle-exhaust sleeves and core cowls. The company is now authorised to perform this work on the Airbus A300, Boeing 707, 727, 737, 747, 757 and 767, and all McDonnell Douglas jet-powered airliners. ++ Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Company (GAMCO) has started work on the fourth and last Lockheed L-1011 TriStar for Air Atlanta Icelandic. The contract covers "C" check, ageing aircraft structural modifications and component overhaul. ++ GE Engine Services has landed a ten-year deal with Lauda Air of Austria to provide a maintenance cost-per-hour contract covering maintenance, repair and overhaul of GE90 engines powering four Boeing 777-200s due between September and 2001. The contract value is put at $50 million. The US engine maker recently won a seven-year deal with American Airlines to maintain CF6-80C2 engines on the airlines Airbus A300s. American Airlines will disassemble, re-assemble and test the engines, while GE will manage the repair and replacement of parts. ++Volvo Aero Engine Services has extended a contract with SAS for maintenance of JT8D engines in its MD- 80 fleet
