Wow Air says it will receive three Airbus A321s as part of a fleet expansion programme from mid-2017, ending the mystery surrounding the identity of the one of the seven jets the Icelandic carrier is due to take.
"The seven additional aircraft include four A330s and the rest are A321s," Daniel Snaebjornsson, Wow's vice-president of network and planning told delegates at Routes Europe in Belfast today.
Wow, which says it will operate 17 aircraft this summer, announced in late March that it would take delivery of seven additional jets over an 18-month period from mid-2017, bringing the total to 24.
At the time, the low-cost airline revealed four of those aircraft were A330-900s and two were A321s, one of which would be purchased directly from the manufacturer and one leased from Air Lease Corporation, but it did not reveal the identity of the seventh aircraft.
Snaebjornsson does not say whether the third A321 will be purchased or leased.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Wow Air has fleet of 13 aircraft in service, including two A320s, one A320neo, seven A321s and three A330s.
