Panasonic Avionics has brought its X series product line to Hong Kong. The portable handsets and media players are standard features on many airliners. Says Neil James, director corporate sales and marketing: “We see the Asian market as a large market that is going to expand and it is vital that Panasonic is part of that explosive growth.”
Korean Air expects to see “continued growth” in its passenger business in the near-term, on the back of strong demand and despite recent “business environment uncertainties”.
The parent of ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines expects to be loss-making in its first-quarter earnings, as it cuts its full-year earnings forecast amid an “uncertain environment” of sluggish demand and revenue growth.
