French aerospace manufacturer Zodiac expects to meet its sales targets for the second half of the year as aircraft deliveries increase.

"Robust" organic growth and contributions from acquisitions during the last two years boosted Zodiac's operating income by more than 30% for the first half of 2004/05. Sales jumped by 19.1%.

"This amply offsets the negative impact from the dollar, which was 8% lower than in the same year-ago period," it says.

The supplier of Airbus escape chutes and seats says its net profits for the first half rose to €34.7 million
