Training for tomorrow's pilots needs to adapt to compensate for a generation brought up on computer games, a leading training provider said at the show yesterday.
"People from Generation-G need stimulation and interaction - if not they walk away," said Karen Bath, head of corporate communications for UK-based CTC.
Speaking at the APATS conference, Bath said key challenging characteristics of the Generation-G include arrogance, sociability, competitiveness and insubordination.
Bath said that training pilots to meet the needs of an ever-changing industry is the sort of challenge that CTC thrives on. The company offers its own ab initio training programme, CTC Wings, and has trained more than 1000 pilots since 2003.
