UK-based aircraft distributor Action Aviation is hoping to sell as many as 55 Sino Swearingen SJ30-2s by the end of 2007, following the light jet’s certification by the US Federal Aviation Administration in October.
Action Aviation is exclusive distributor for the aircraft in 66 countries and is evaluating potential agents in the larger markets, including France, the Middle East and Russia, says new aircraft sales director Mike Creed. Action Aviation will receive an SJ30-2 in March for use as a demonstrator, Creed says, and the firm has sold 31 aircraft for delivery to customers between September 2006 and December 2007. He is confident that the aircraft will receive European Aviation Safety Agency certification “within six months maximum”. The aircraft can seat five passengers with either one or two pilots.
