Star Alliance-bound Greek carrier Aegean Airlines is to open services to Madrid and Vienna from December.

The airline is to begin operating a daily connection to Madrid from 1 December, complementing its operation to Barcelona. It will use Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft on the route.

Aegean is also to begin flying to Vienna five times per week from 10 December, using A320s.

It has also disclosed plans to begin serving Milan from Thessaloniki thrice-weekly from the beginning of the winter season, at the end of October.
