Flight International online news 11:30GMT: Czech aerospace company Aero Vodochody is continuing to successfully reposition itself as a supplier partner to Western manufacturers after a disappointing recent performance for its two key aircraft programmes and Boeing's departure as main shareholder.

The company has won its first order from a French company, Safran subsidiary Aircelle. Aero will deliver two transportation jigs for thrust-reversers on the Airbus A340 by January 2006.

The Prague-based company says it won the contract thanks to its work establishing new business relationships at June's Paris air show. "If all proves well and we deliver on time, I am sure we can win further orders," says Stanislav Stefanov, aerostructures marketing and sales specialist. "The French are also interested in design cooperation, where we also see a significant potential."
