Aeroflot has signed a new long-term component support agreement with Lufthansa Technik, covering all of the companies within the Russian group.
The 10-year maintenance and repair services deal, which takes effect next month, supersedes an existing contract between the two groups and spans components for Airbus A320, A330 and Boeing 737NG aircraft.
"The conclusion of the 10-year agreement with Lufthansa Technik on new conditions means [a] substantial increase of effectiveness of Aeroflot activities, which is especially important in the complicated economic situation," says Aeroflot technical director Igor Parakhin.
Lufthansa Technik says the new agreement "includes clauses on the liability of the supplier for the quality and promptness of work".
