The Finmeccanica subsidiary is at booth 1320 in Hall 6 offering high technology multi-role aircraft for a variety of requirements.
A new light twin-turbine helicopter, the Grand has already received almost 80 orders since European certification was awarded on 1 June last year, with the European civil market accounting for more than 38%. It can carry six passengers up to a range of 800km (430nm).
The AW139 is a medium twin-turbine helicopter capable of carrying up to 15 passengers, or eight law enforcement officers and two armed crew for protection at high cruise speeds.
In February the AB139 was rebranded to the AW139 to reflect AgustaWestland’s strategic decision to buy back Bell’s share. AW139 orders stand at almost 180 units, making it the best selling helicopter in its category.
Orders were placed for 162 AgustaWestland helicopters in 2005, with 121 craft delivered worldwide as part of a distribution agreement signed recently with Sloane Helicopters.
At the end of 2005, cumulative order backlog was €7.4 billion ($9.1 billion), including an order intake of €3.7 billion.
AgustaWestland can meet the requirements of both civil and military customers with integrated platform systems for all principal weight categories. Products range from the 2.5t light single-engined A119 Koala to the 16t three-engined EH101 helicopter.
