Sir - The aim of the Guild of Air Pilots Benevolent Fund is to relieve poverty among those who are, or have been, engaged professionally as pilots or navigators in commercial aviation, or who are Livery men or Freemen of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators (GAPAN). All requests for assistance are considered sympathetically, including those for the relief of poverty or the advancement of education of dependents and orphans.

The board of management of the Benevolent Fund would be grateful for information about commercial pilots, navigators, or Guild members who are suffering financial hardship. In addition, requests for help from the families of deceased commercial pilots, navigators, or Guild members would be considered carefully.

Please let the Fund know of anyone thus eligible for assistance at the address below.

Sir - The manager of LOT Polish Airlines Austrian office, Jacek Galinowski, would like to know if anybody owns a Junkers F-13, whatever its condition, or at least to know where one of these historical aircraft might be available.

The aircraft would be used for memorial purposes at the former Vienna Aspern airfield, Austria, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the first scheduled flight from Vienna, to Cracow and Warsaw, in Poland.

Please contact Jacek Jacek Galinowski, LOT Polish Airlines, Schwedenplatz 5, A-1010 Vienna, Austria.

Many thanks in advance,

Professor JOHANNES ZOPP

Vienna, Austria
