Air India Express is seeking Boeing 737 simulator training for its pilots.
A tender document released by the low-cost carrier shows that it is open to both wet and dry lease options.
Bidders must be a Type Rated Training Organisation certified by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and approved to conduct dry and wet 737 simulator training. It must also possess a 737 simulator with CFM56-7 engines.
Interested parties must provide the training location and produce a full transition training syllabus for pilots without previous experience on Boeing aircraft.
The tender document also states that bidders have to list their hourly rates for full flight simulator and fixed base simulator for both dry and wet options. A four hour session bulk rate may also be quoted.
In addition, bidders must quote package wet rates for full transition training as well as for a shortened transition training. Both sets of rates must include a breakdown of individual components.
Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets show that Air India Express operates a fleet of 17 737-800s, all of which are on lease.
