Tailor-made hunting and skiing trips will meet demand for exclusive lifestyle packages

Air Luxor Corporate Jets has launched two travel clubs tailored to Europe's hunting and skiing markets. The move is aimed at exploiting the growing demand for exclusive luxury lifestyle packages using business jet transport.

In September, sub-fractional ownership scheme Marquis Jet Europe teamed with five Scottish hotels to offer golfing weekends under the name St Andrews Marquis Jet Service (Flight International, 22-28 July).

Portugal's Air Luxor Corporate Jets was formed in August by parent Air Luxor to distinguish the regional airline from the business aircraft operation and establish two identifiable marketing brands.

The idea of the hunting and skiclub, says Air Luxor Corporate Jets vice-president Marianela Mirpuri "is to facilitate the movement of club members to hunting and skiing locations within the Iberian peninsula and Central Europe in groups of seven". This method of travel can cost up to 7% less than an equivalent ad hoc charter operation. The club will operate a Cessna Citation Encore and a Dassault Falcon 20 based in Paris Le Bourget and Lisbon.

Club membership is free and based on recommendation. Members send their hunting or skiing schedule to the club. An itinerary is then compiled and a price quoted. For example, a Citation Encore carrying seven hunting club members from Lisbon to Budapest, Hungary and back is priced at c24,725, ($28,740).

"As demand picks up we will add more aircraft", Mirpuri says. Air Luxor Corporate Jets is in talks with European operators in Spain and Hungary with a view to establishing a European club network.
