Several Airbus suppliers and distributors have signed up to take a place on the ground in China to better support the growing fleet of Airbus aircraft.

The result is that CASC/Airbus Customer Services Support Centre in Beijing will grow from 15 suppliers to 23.
The firms to sign on at Asian Aerospace are Airbus France Avionics & Simulation Products, Air Cost Control, Air Cruisers, Avio-Diepen, B/E Aerospace, Eltra Aeronautics, Honeywell HPG and Satair.

They will provide spare parts, avionics repair, customer liaison and training to Airbus operators in China and Asia Pacific from the Beijing centre.

B/E Aerospace is the first supplier to set up a distribution centre at the Beijing facility.

“If there is a problem, then it is one of communication and distance,” said Jean-Hugues Depigny, vice-president, customer services, Airbus China. “Then you can have a problem and we don’t want a problem. We want to work with suppliers in order to support our customers.”

Speaking at a special ceremony at the show where the eight deals were signed, he added: “Customer satisfaction is our main goal and we can only reach this common goal by working together. The Chinese customers know what they want and they know what they don’t like so we have to work together very carefully.”
