All 565 US airports regulated by the US Federal Aviation Administration have passed millennium bug safety and security system compliance tests. The US Department of Transportation says it has achieved Y2K compliance objectives for its mission critical systems, including the FAA's air traffic control system. A $70 million upgrade of Moscow-Domodedovo airport terminal is due for completion in April. The refurbishment of the international and domestic check-in areas should be completed by the end of the year. Belgocontrol is to invest Bfr1.5 billion ($3.9 million) over the next five to six years to increase the capacity of Brussels Zaventum airport from 88 to 91 aircraft movements per hour.
