MIAT Mongolian Airlines has expanded its component maintenance partnership with UK parts specialist AJW Aviation to include Boeing 737s.
The Ulaanbataar-headquartered airline has signed an eight-year, hour-based service agreement covering spare-part pool access for equipment on three 737-800s, AJW says.
This is a follow-up to a similar contract in place for the MIAT's 767 widebodies.
Flightglobal's Ascend Fleets database shows that the airline has two 767-300ERs, one powered by Rolls-Royce RB211 engines and the other by General Electric CF6s.
Earlier this year, MIAT deferred two 737-800 orders and indicated it would convert them to orders for the in-development re-engined 737 Max series.
