All Nippon Airways (ANA) will deploy the Boeing 787-8 aircraft on three more Asian routes starting October.
The 787s will replace Boeing 767-300ERs used on the daily Tokyo Haneda-Singapore and Tokyo Narita-Jakarta services. It will also replace the Boeing 777-200ERs used on one of its thrice daily Tokyo Narita-Shanghai Pudong services.
Aircraft changes on the Singapore and Shanghai routes will occur on 27 October, while the change on the Jakarta route will be effective from 1 February 2014.
ANA will upgauge capacity on three of its China services by deploying 767-300ERs to replace the Boeing 737-700s used currently. These increases will be implemented on the daily Tokyo Narita-Chengdu services from 1 October, followed by the daily Osaka Kansai-Qingdao and Osaka Kansai-Beijing services from 27 October.
The airline intends to deploy a 777-200ER on one of the two daily Tokyo Narita-Bangkok services, replacing the 767-300ER used on the route.
It will also decrease the capacity on its Tokyo Haneda-Seoul Gimpo service from a thrice daily 777-200ER service to twice daily 767-300ER and daily 777-200ER operations. Both changes will be effective from 27 October.
It will also convert its twice daily Tokyo Narita-Beijing service into an all 767-300ER operation on 1 February 2014.
ANA adds that will suspend its daily Nagoya-Shanghai service and reduce the Tokyo Narita-Chengdu frequency from seven to four times weekly on 27 October.
