Alpha Aviation has received New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority certification for its Alpha 160A two-seat aerobatic trainer, formerly the Robin R2160, which it acquired from France's Apex Aviation in 2004 as part of a package that included the R2120, now Alpha 120T, basic trainer, and US and European approvals. Apex has 21 orders for the all- metal, two-seat 160A to date.
