UK air taxi company Ambeo is looking to expand its portfolio of business jets with the introduction of larger cabin aircraft to complement its two Cessna Citation Mustangs.

The London Stansted-based company said it had "forged a good reputation" at the entry-level sector of the market but this niche had become very competitive.

"The entry-level market is very busy as there are an increasing number of operators on the market," Ambeo chief operating officer Darryl Haynes said.

"Much of the competition is coming from companies within eastern Europe, who are swamping the market and undercutting prices," he added.

He said Ambeo is focused on light and midsize cabin aircraft.

"We now feel there is an opportunity to offer larger cabin aircraft such as the light or midsize, which will give us more range and widen our customer base," Haynes said.
