Air New Zealand has launched the search for a new managing director and chief executive after Ralph Norris last week announced his resignation from the carrier. Norris, who joined Air New Zealand three years ago from the banking world, is taking up the position of managing director and chief executive of Australia’s Commonwealth Bank. Norris has overseen a successful turnaround at the once struggling airline, leaving the airline financially sound, with corporate strategies in place and an established management team.
