French company ASLEC cannot only stand the heat, it positively welcomes it. ASLEC (Hall 5B, I10) specialises in temperature-measurement systems for a wide variety of applications in aerospace and several other industries.

"Highly accurate temperature data is crucial to several aerospace manufacturing and maintenance processes," says ASLEC's Jacques Jean-Baptiste. "They include moulding, injection, curing, cooking and cleaning."

ASLEC and sister company AS-LASER produce temperature probes, thermocouples, and thermal-protection systems based on temperature switches, PTC thermistors and thermal fuses. Their temperature probes are based on sensors that work by yielding a resistance change as the temperature changes. These devices include NTC and PTC thermistors, silistors, and accurate metal-film resistors. ASLEC systems also incorporate thermocouples - which derive their indications from voltage variations - and infra-red receptors.
