Russia's UTair will become the country's first operator of the ATR 42 in June following the signing of a contract with Continental Airlines for two ex-Continental Express aircraft. The agreement supersedes an earlier deal with lessor Magellan Air for five ATR 42-300s. The East Siberian carrier is looking for between 15 and 20 ATRs to replace 30 Antonov An-24s and Yakovlev Yak-40s for use on feeder flights on its Siberian and north Russian network.
