The Airbus A330-200 equipped with the Pratt & Whitney PW4000 received European Joint Aviation Authorities certification on 13 July, clearing the way for deliveries to begin to launch customer Austrian Airlines later this month. The seven-month flight-test programme accumulated some 273 flight hours and US Federal Aviation Administration clearance is expected soon. Other P&W A330-200 customers include Asiana, International Lease Finance, Korean Air, Leisure International Airways/Air 2000, Sabena, Swissair and TAM.
