FreeWave Technologies has introduced the Spartan Series of wireless radios with advanced encryption technology for secure long-range communications for the government and defense markets. The company says the Spartan radios are designed to provide a highly secure communications link for a variety of government and defence applications, including command and control of unmanned systems.
FreeWave says its legacy wireless systems have logged more than 1.3 million combat hours in the command and control communications systems for AAI's Shadow and Insitu's ScanEagle unmanned aircraft systems.
