Welcome to AUVSI's Unmanned Systems North America 2009, the largest gathering of unmanned systems technology in the world!

If you attended the 5th Biennial Unmanned Systems Demonstration at Naval Air Station Patuxent River's Webster Field Annex yesterday you already saw numerous unmanned systems in action. Here at the show you'll be able to see many more and hear from key stakeholders in the air, ground and maritime domains.

With 325 exhibitors, 112 international speakers participating in 4 workshops, 4 panels and more than 90 poster and oral presentations, there's something here for everyone. You'll join more than 5,000 other attendees from over 30 countries to hear from key decision makers from government, industry and academia.

If you're looking for a finished unmanned systems product to meet an immediate need, this is the place to be. If you're looking to market or investigate unmanned systems components, this is the place to be. If you're interested in what cutting-edge technology is coming down the road, this is the place to be.

We'll also tackle some of the most interesting unmanned policy issues of the day. How can we address the challenges of export control and access to the national airspace? Should autonomous vehicles be armed? What standards do we need for unmanned systems?

These are some complicated topics, but we'll have fun, too; be sure not to miss our Wednesday night social event, AUVSI's Taste of DC, sponsored by Northrop Grumman, where you can sample food and drink from some of the hottest chefs and restaurants in Washington.

The unmanned systems industry keeps growing and AUVSI's Unmanned Systems North America grows along with it. We hope you'll enjoy the show.
