Administrators for German regional jet manufacturer AvCraft Aviation have failed to sell the struggling business, although support activity for the company’s Dornier 328Jet line is likely to be picked up by Swiss firm Ruag.

AvCraft Aviation, which acquired the 328Jet production business from collapsed Fairchild Dornier, itself filed for insolvency in March.

The Oberpfaffenhofen-based company had been kept operational through the sale of a small number of aircraft it had completed, but not delivered, and prospects for securing an investor look bleak. “Negotiations for the transfer and continuation of AvCraft Aerospace’s business activities have been completed without conclusion,” says insolvency administrator Martin Prager.
