Brazil’s Ocean Air and Ecuador’s VIPSA, both owned by the Synergy group, are effectively becoming one airline by adopting Avianca’s livery and brand. German Efromovich, Synergy owner and president, says only Wayra Peru is not switching to Avianca because Synergy holds only a minority stake in it. Colombia’s Avianca, the largest airline in the group, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Synergy.
