With the unbelievable boom of the regional jet market and the domination of only two manufacturers, maybe it is about time for the Europeans to do something.

The simplest and easiest way is to go back to the old drawing boards. I recommend the resurrection of the BAC One-Eleven and the Sud Avion Caravelle. All that is needed is a new engine and the ideal would be the General Electric CF34 or Rolls-Royce Tay.
