Sukhoi's production plant KnAAPO is to supply six Beriev Be-103 single-engine amphibious aircraft to the Chinese province of Zhejiang as a prelude to launching their assembly locally.
The aircraft will be delivered shortly to Taixiang, a company engaged in aviation projects based in Huzhou.
KnAAPO will send kits to Huzhou for building Be-103s under licence and will provide personnel training and quality control while the Chinese will contribute a production facility, infrastructure and labour.
The Be-103 gained type certification in China a year ago.
