Bell/Agusta Aerospace will celebrate a major milestone in the AB139 helicopter's development programme later today, by announcing at Paris that the aircraft has received Italian ENAC IFR Type Certification.
A ceremony at the company's chalet will mark the initial certification, which paves the way for first deliveries later this year.
Bell/Agusta chairman Amadeo Caporaletti will receive the certificate and will be joined by the chairman of Agusta parent Finmeccanica, Pier Francesco Guarguaglini and Bell Helicopter chairman John Murphey.
